Command-Aware Intelligence: How OMNI v0.5.5 Understands Your Terminal

If you have been running OMNI for weeks, your local RewindStore database likely contains hundreds of records classified as “Unknown” — entries from before the heuristic engine existed. With a single command, you can now retroactively re-classify all of that legacy data using the latest intelligence models, instantly enriching your historical analytics with accurate toolchain categorization.

Polishing the Developer Experience

We also took this release as an opportunity to refine the real-time telemetry experience. The update check cache interval has been reduced from twenty-four hours down to four hours, and proactive version alerts are now woven directly into the omni stats dashboard. You will know the moment a new algorithmic upgrade lands — without ever leaving your terminal. The statistics display itself received a professional cleanup, simplifying the “Unknown” category labels for a cleaner, more scannable analytics report.

Hardening Under the Hood

On the engineering integrity front, we resolved lingering rusqlite iterator usage issues and addressed several Clippy lints that were quietly accumulating across the codebase. The result is a codebase that now achieves a flawless 100% CI pass rate, every single commit. Combined with sub-millisecond classification overhead, the cost of this intelligence upgrade is literally invisible.
